A skill that contains the following line will do that:
Quote:
all hostile Spells that target you fail and all attacks against you miss

I'd say better late than never but this took well over a year for it to be acknowledged so at this point it's just going to do more harm than good. The people who hate it have learned to just accept it and the people who use it, use it. Nerf it and those who had the hopes of it being removed won't really care, and their words of praise for doing the right thing will be deafened under the cries of those who loved it.
Next time don't buff a skill for PvE because you're nerfing the PvP version.

They MUST change the skill completely if any real balance is to be done to it. Even making it 6sec duration will make this announcement an insult. It should be made to go with the theme of the assassin.
Hide.
Hit.
And Run.

Dead game u are correct if they change SF again people will start to go off game because some people only enjoy doing speed clears.
Which in nerfing it the game will die even further.

Ursan -> SF - > ?!?!?!?!?
My money is on a monk skill getting so obscenely overbuffed to be able to take SF's place.
Although this also gives us the perfect opportunity to solve the mesmer problem! Symbols Of Inspiration could use some invincibility added to the skill description!
Decisions, decisions, decisions!

Yeah but some ppl also only enjoy doing balanced runs and with current speedclears Metas theres hardly any change for that..

I think you are really missing the point here.
Yes people saying "GW will die because of X" all these years are exagerrating, but their claims are not far from the truth. What they should be saying is "GW will die over time because of things such as X Y and Z".
Over the years Anet has continually done things to the game that have contributed to players leaving, only to fix these issues far too late when the players have already left. The problem here, and this is key, is that most of the people still left playing the game are people who either no longer care about X or they use X. Most of the people who really cared probably left. So in reality, while the addition of problems is a bad thing, the fact that Anet takes SOOO long to realize and fix the problems is perhaps their biggest flaw of all.
Fixing a farming build in a game that has become mostly about farming is pretty much pointless nowadays. Yes I think it should be deleted from the game, but it is still nearly pointless. They should have never even conceived the idea...and if they did they should have fixed the shit on contact.
Instead, the addition of X Y and Z changed what the game was about, and because it takes so long to fix X Y and Z, nobody really cares anymore because whoever is left playing the game probably likes the shit it has become anyways.

I keep mentioning this, but for some reason most people find it to be a terrible idea.
Change recharge time to disabled duration instead. Neither the /E nor the /Me version would be able to be maintained indefinitely, and the change is minute and does not affect the intended use of the skill.
Also, Terra Tanks will return, and the run will be slower, but still possible. Also, people will work towards innovative methods for a little while to try and increase speed before settling on a set PUG version. Try using a 55/600 Monk for Mountains, it's quicker with Pain Inverter than the current meta =P

This, and yet not this. For at least a few of the areas in UW, an obby flesh tank is actually FASTER than a perma. Depending on how/if SF is nerfed, UWSC will STILL be done in under 25 minutes. If SF is reverted to where it was before the pve/pvp split, then uwsc will still be easy to do. Somewhere on these forums is a version of the original uwsc that took about 25 minutes. It used like a 4 man vale team, and a sin using arcane echo to maintain SF for chamber, along with obby flesh tanks to solo the different areas. That is what the uwsc builds will revert to, except with a more up to date vale team, and abuse of more eotn pve skills.
For areas like DoA, it's already been done with an obby flesh tank, and extremely quickly too! Iirc, frenchies got a 55 minute run with an obby flesh sliver tank! Shit like fow probably wont be affected, although the terra roles require a lot of running, so they might be *slightly* slower. The only places that will really be affected will be Urgoz(because of recall pulls, and even then a good team can finish in <26), VSF(which shouldnt exist anyways), and dungeon running(which is lolbroken anyways).
Now, if SF is nerfed to the point of it being unmaintainable(even when using arcane echo), then uw will be affected until someone can come up with a way to do Unwanted Guests solo. I really cbf to look at the skills and work it out, but i would imagine that it wouldnt be very difficult to devise a way to do it

I hope SF will have its functionality changed. It's useless for PvE and PvP, usable only for gimmicky shitty retarded moronic farming builds.
At this point even Wasterl's Collapse is more useful than SF in normal play and that should tell AN something.
I also like the hypocrisy of gw players: nerf shadowfarm but don't nerf my farming buildz :((

55 with PI wont work i think, 600 is godlike.
and 55HP monks will dominate UW together with 600HP monks and terra tanks.
i heard that spell breaker + glyph of swiftness + blessed aura @ 16 divine = perma spell breaker .

Seems to me they have already about nerfed this game in to a ghost town and it has no doubt cost them millions in additional sales.
So if anything they need to reverse course and start un-nerfing.

Yeah, Cobalt is right. There are hardly any players left. Go to a random town, say Kaineng or Kamadan, and I will guarantee you it is empty...
Seriously dude, this game has more than enough players left. And I'm sure 90% of them will keep playing after SF is nerfed.

Thanks for reminding me of what to put in my feedback namespace once I've checked no-one else has suggested what I plan to...
As for the skill/area debate: It really is the skill. It's most prominent in speedclears, but it really is an easymode in pretty much all of the game. And it's easier to just kill the build than to rework half of the game's zones to incorporate permasin counters.
